VII District Competition about Sienkiewicz

25 March 2010  District Competition about Sienkiewicz was held for the seventh time in our school. The aim of the competition is to develop pupils`s literary interests, motivation for the development and demonstration of their capabilities. Youth from 14 primary schools (61pupils) competed for first place in the contest of knowledge and recitation. All participants demonstrated an accurate knowledge of the creativity and achievements of the Pole - Nobel Prize winner. Performances of students moved us into the world of Sienkiewicz`s heroes.

Competition "Bank of the future as seen through the eyes of a child"

March 11 winners under the auspices of the Cooperative Bank: "Bank of the future as seen through the eyes of the child" went to a meeting with employees of the bank. Award-winning children had the opportunity to find out more about the work of the bank, banker, and able to see the position of e.g .the cash point , computer lab. After the official meeting, the children were given  gifts. Here are the winners:

ETwinning - European co-operation of schools
eTwinning is a program linking schools in Europe through electronic media. It is an educational program of the European Union, which promotes the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in European schools. Students and teachers use the Internet in collaboration across borders.
In 2010 we are celebrating the "5 years of eTwinning in Poland."
To commemorate the 5th anniversary of eTwinning The National Liaison Office in Poland has planned many activities.
In our school there was the exhibition which included:
• realized projects,
• presentation of the partner schools,
• activity in the projects,
• exchange of the correspondence.

We also developed the school website of eTwinning, which has been submitted for the contest www.jedynka.czarnkow.pl / etwinning

The projects are pursued by classes Ib, Id.

Programme eTwinning - European co-operation of schools

National Quality Label
27 March 2010. we received the National Quality Label for the project "Tradition" in the framework of international cooperation eTwinning. The project is cooperated by W. Pilecka and B. Kwiczak with class Ib and Id. The project partners are the students and teachers from the following countries: United Kingdom, Romania, Poland, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Portugal, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Czech Republic.

Quality Label is granted to outstanding eTwinning projects and points to attain national and European standards. National Quality Label is awarded by the National Program Office Contact the eTwinning teachers whose work in partnership is considered to be distinctive in our country.

IX Interschool Computer Competition

On 25 March 2010 was held IX Interschool Computer Competition for primary school pupils. The competition was attended by pupils from Primary Schools: Boruszyn, Czarnków, Lubasz, Połajewo, Sarbia and Śmieszkowio.

Students had to solve a test consisting of 30 closed tasks and perform three practical tasks.

Sponsor of the awards was a Pupils shop of the Primary School No 1 in Czarnków.

The composition`s jury: Agnieszka Pawlowska, Krystyna Jęśko, Anna Stróżyńska, Halina Dudek, Miroslawa Trafas, Krystyna Wolniewicz, Małgorzata Kubis.

Carnival party in the common room

On 12 February 2010 in the school common room carnival party was held for all pupils. We have prepared numerous attractions, contests, fun with music and sweet snacks. All participants received pre-made classes kotylions and participated in kotylion dance. The children were very happy, and the party can be considered as a very successful. See you next year!

Visiting the Museum

HISTORY OF THE EARTH in stone - is the title of an exhibition of fossils, owned by a palantolog and lover of Earth Science Edward Noniewicza. The exhibition opened at the Museum of the Czarnków Earth. You could see  fish, animals and plants from 30 million years before, immortalized in stone. Children of the common room with a pleasure  saw and heard interesting information about fossils 17 February 2010. We consider the visit to be very successful and certainly this wasn`t our last trip to the museum.

Healthy body, healthy mind

With this motto pupils of our school went to the pitch. It was a great fun! We went downhill the ‘apples’, we made the snowman and a winter fortress. The pupils  were very happy that they could spend some time outdoors.

Recitation contest class I - III

On 26.02.2010r. the recitation school competition was held in classes I - III. The competition was attended by 15 students, one  representative of each class. Children presented works of famous Polish poems writer for children - Julian Tuwim. Contest jury took care over the proper preparation and scrutiny of the contest.

Musical program "Behind the scenes of the ballet"
 
On 26^th of February 2010 there was in our school a musical program entitled "Behind the scenes of the ballet”.

Balik Carnival
 
 Society of Friends of Children working in the Primary School No 1 in Czarnków organized carnival ball for younger children. The ball was held on 11^th of February in the afternoon, in the school commons. The children could take part in such competitions like: dancing with balloons and on the newspaper. The winners of various competitions were awarded with applause and prizes in the form of colourful and useful school equipment. The children were treated to a hot meal, cookies, candies and drinks. The children had a great fun and declared their willingness to participate in the next meeting.
